DAVID WOOD

David Wood of the Balboa Yacht Club became the first American to win the Youth Match Racing World Championship in 2021. David has placed 1^st and 3^rd in USYMRC (Rose Cup Championships). He is the US Youth Singlehanded Champion and US Triple Handed Champion (Sears).

David sails in many of the sport’s disciplines having just completed Transpac and won the LBYC hosted Junior Match Racing Invitational in 2018 and 2019. David finished 3rd in the 2021 Ficker Cup, which qualified him to sail in the Congressional Cup, where his team took 9^th place.
