FranceIan began sailing at the age of ten at the Saint-Tropez Yacht Club, located in the southeast of France. After several years of sailing on multihulls and the 420 class, he transitioned to match racing in 2021, competing in both national and international youth events.
Following a series of podium finishes in those events, Ian and his team have made the transition to several open competitions, winning the European Championship in both 2023 and 2024. They made their debut on the World Match Racing Tour in 2023, achieving a podium finish. Ian’s accomplishments have helped him reach 4th place in the world rankings in 2024. He also finished 4th at the WMRT Final/ Match Racing World Championship in Shenzhen 2024.
