The second edition of the ‘Macao Match Cup’ will take place from 14-18 January 2026, once again as the opening world championship event of the 2026 World Match Racing Tour. The Macao Match Cup is one of the flagship events of the annual ‘Macao International Regatta’ during the same week and attracting over 200 sailors from various countries.

Competitors for the Macao Match Cup will compete in identical FarEast 28R match racing boats to compete for the Macao Match Cup title and a share of the USD 100,000 prize purse.  The race will take place in the waters off the Macao Science Center, allowing spectators to watch from the shore.

The Macao International Regatta is one of Macao’s annual sporting events, aimed at promoting sailing and maritime sports activities. Since its inception in 2019, the event has become an important part of Macao’s sports and tourism activities, attracting sailing enthusiasts and professional sailors from around the world.
