Christian first started racing when he was nine years old in the Optimist, and participated in the class until he was about fourteen years old. After that, he transitioned into the 420 and scholastic sailing, and enjoyed team racing in particular. In 2024, he decided to compete in a local grade 3 event with his father and ended up winning it. He then decided to create a match racing team and competed in the 2024 US grand slam series and US nationals. In 2025, he competed in and ended up winning the US Grand Slam series. This put his name on the map and he gained an invitation to the 2025 World Match Racing Tour final in Shenzhen China finishing 12th from 16 teams. Gaining the experience from Shenzhen, Christian finished 4th at the 2026 Macao Macao Match Cup, opening event of the 2026 World Match Racing Tour season.
