“We are really Proud”
Anna Ostling and her teammates have been a major part of bringing the M32 to the GKSS Women’s Trophy. They have raced the boat in both on the World Match Racing Tour and the M32 Series Scandinavia and proved that women can sail these boats competitively. Aston Harald and the full M32 World love seeing the 5 women’s team in Marstrand, and hope this will encourage more female teams into the open class for the future.
“We have been here on shore the past few years and it just feels wrong, but now we are out there where we want to be. I know the other teams are really enjoying it. We are really proud and its so nice all the hard work has paid off.
“It was a great start, and nice to get some nerves away. We gave it all in that first race. Its amazing how tired you can get in one race because in the second one we were a bit slow getting it together. I think it will be like this during the week with ups and down and a lot of action. The conditions are amazing, couldn’t be better.”
